Nicole Nigro

Nicole Nigro is an independent contemporary dance artist based in Toronto, Canada. She is a performer, educator, outreach workshop facilitator, and emerging choreographer. She began her dance training in Edmonton, Alberta, and has since graduated from The School of Toronto Dance Theatre, and obtained an Honours B.F.A. in Dance from York University. She has had the privilege of dancing as a guest artist with Dancetheatre David Earle, The Danny Grossman Dance Company, Event Horizon Dance, Peggy Baker Dance Projects, Toronto Dance Theatre, and several independent choreographers.

Nigro is currently on faculty at the School of Canadian Contemporary Dance Theatre and The School of Toronto Dance Theatre’s General School. She is constantly amazed by the diverse benefits of dance and strives to bring generosity, skill, kindness, and joy into every classroom.
