Lauren Gould

General Manager

Lauren Gould has worked in a variety of roles within the arts and higher education sectors.  She began her career in Montreal working for both Concordia University and Centennial Academy and College managing a variety of fundraising, event, and engagement programs.  In 2005 Gould moved to Liverpool, U.K. to work in the cultural sector. During her time there she managed the education department at the Lady Lever Art Gallery, part of National Museums Liverpool, successfully increasing its participation by 44% and leading on the development of a learning centre for the gallery. 

Gould is experienced at managing capital development projects, building partnerships, fundraising, and business and strategic change planning.  Since January 2010, she has been at the administrative helm of The School of Toronto Dance Theatre as General Manager.  Gould completed her B.A. at Concordia University specializing in Creative Writing, Art History, and Studio Art and, whilst in Liverpool, completed her M.A. in Cultural Leadership at Liverpool John Moores University.

Gould has recently begun development of the Art Theory and History course for the third year Professional Training Program students at the School.
