Administrative Assistant
Originally from Montreal, Julie Gauthier has a strong background in dance through her studies at The School of Dance in Ottawa and then at Ladmmi l’école de danse contemporaine, in Montreal, where she worked with Massimo Agostinelli, Marc Boivin, Stéphanie Chêne, Estelle Clareton, Mélanie Demers, Andrew Harwood, and Roger Sinha. In 2007, after her internship at the Academy of Performing Arts in San Diego, California, she performed in Valeur Ajoutés 2 choreographed by Anne Thériault. The following year, she undertook her B.A. in History and Theory of Art and Arts Administration at the University of Ottawa. In the fall of 2008, she was invited by the Capital Fashion Week to present her choreographic work Exposition #1. She was also involved in supervising a dance project with high school students in Ottawa with the Tara Luz Dance Company under Anik Bouvrette’s direction. In addition, she performed in Dancing in the Street, a project created by The School of Dance and Sylvie Desrosiers. In 2009, Gauthier completed an internship at the National Arts Centre within the Dance Department. She is currently the Administrative Assistant at The School of Toronto Dance Theatre.
