Helen Jones
Helen Jones was born in Wales and is a graduate of the Royal Ballet School. Her training in classical and contemporary dance continued with teachers in London and New York, and her performing career included work with choreographers and companies in Europe and North America including Toronto Dance Theatre and the Martha Graham Dance Company.
Jones has taught internationally and currently is on the faculty of Ballet Creole, The School of Toronto Dance Theatre, and the Department of Dance at York University. She established a Dance Arts Programme in the rural municipality of Grey Highlands, Ontario, which has now become an annual venue for the nationally touring Dusk Dances Festival.
Her academic and professional development credits include a B.Sc. in Psychology (University of Toronto), and a Diploma in Adult Training and Development (Ontario Institute for Studies in Education).
